Welcome to Bantay Pusta ("we," "our," or "us"). Bantay Pusta is an online service and software application designed to block and restrict access to gambling-related websites and applications across platforms (Android mobile app, Chrome extension, Windows application, and Web dashboard).

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using Bantay Pusta, you ("User," "You") agree to be legally bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you must uninstall and stop using the service immediately.

1. Description of the Service

Bantay Pusta provides:

  • Mobile application utilizing operating system-level controls (VPN-based filtering on Android and Screen Time / Family Controls on iOS) to restrict access to gambling-related content
  • Blocking features via Chrome browser extension
  • Windows desktop application to prevent opening gambling sites/apps
  • Web portal for user account, subscription, and device management

The service is provided strictly to help users self-restrict gambling access. It is not a financial, psychiatric, or mental health service.

2. Eligibility

To use Bantay Pusta, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old, or the age of legal consent in your region
  • Agree to responsibility for all activity on your devices
  • Have lawful permission to install software on the device(s) you use

If you are under 18, please stop using the service.

3. Account Registration

To access premium features, you may be required to:

  • Create an account
  • Provide a valid email address
  • Set a secure password
  • Agree to our Privacy Policy

You are responsible for:

  • Keeping your login credentials secure
  • All activity occurring under your account

We are not responsible for unauthorized access due to credential sharing or weak passwords.

4. Subscriptions & Payment

Bantay Pusta offers Free and Premium plans.

Premium plans may include device-limit usage (e.g., single-device only for Regular plan).

Subscription fees may be billed via:

  • Google Play Billing (for Android)
  • Website (through Maya Payment Channel)
  • Other platform-supported methods

4.1 Automatic Renewal

Subscriptions may automatically renew unless cancelled. You may cancel anytime via:

  • Google Play Store subscription settings
  • Account settings on the Bantay Pusta website (if available)

Payments are non-refundable, except where required by law. Refunds for Google Play purchases must be requested through Google Play Support.

5. Acceptable Use Policy

By using Bantay Pusta, you agree NOT to:

  • Attempt to disable, bypass, reverse-engineer, or hack the blocking system
  • Use the service for illegal, abusive, or harmful activity
  • Sell, sublicense, or redistribute Bantay Pusta without written consent
  • Upload malware, scripts, or interfere with servers

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts violating these terms.

6. Platform-Level Protection & System Controls (Android & iOS)

Platform-Level Protection

Bantay Pusta uses system-level protections on both Android and iOS devices to help prevent access to gambling-related websites and applications. These protections are enforced using built-in operating system features such as VPN-based filtering, Usage Access (Android), and Screen Time / Family Controls (iOS).

The application does not read private messages, passwords, financial data, or any personal content. All enforcement is performed locally on the device using platform-provided system controls.

Network Filtering & Restrictions

On Android devices, Bantay Pusta uses a local VPN service to filter and restrict access to gambling-related websites and domains. On iOS devices, similar restrictions are enforced through Apple’s Screen Time and Family Controls system frameworks.

These mechanisms operate entirely on-device. No browsing content is inspected, stored, or transmitted to external servers, and no personally identifiable information is collected.

Application Usage Monitoring

On Android devices, Usage Access permission is used to detect when restricted applications are opened. On iOS devices, Screen Time and Family Controls APIs are used to monitor application usage for enforcement purposes.

This monitoring is strictly limited to detecting application usage state. The app does not access in-app content, messages, inputs, or any internal application data.

System-Level Enforcement Controls

Both Android and iOS may use system-level controls to enforce user-enabled restrictions, maintain protection settings, and prevent unauthorized disabling or circumvention of safeguards.

Privacy & Data Handling Assurance

Bantay Pusta does not access or collect private communications, authentication credentials, financial account data, keystrokes, screen content, or browsing activity. No user data is transmitted to external servers for profiling or analytics. All enforcement is performed locally on the device using operating system-provided controls.

7. No Legal, Financial, or Medical Advice

Bantay Pusta is a technical tool for blocking gambling-related content. It does not guarantee permanent gambling abstinence and does not replace professional treatment or counseling.

8. Availability of Service

We strive to make Bantay Pusta available 24/7, but service may experience downtimes, bugs, or feature changes. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Bantay Pusta is provided "as-is" and "as available." We are not liable for data loss, gambling losses, financial damages, missed transactions, or device malfunction.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, misuse the product, or if required by law. You may terminate at any time by uninstalling all apps and deleting your account.

12. Intellectual Property

All Bantay Pusta logos, branding, software, and content are the property of the Bantay Pusta development team or its licensors.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines, unless otherwise required by applicable consumer protection laws.

14. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms occasionally. Continued use after updates constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
